The NBA Draft is Thursday night and a few local players have a shot at being selected.
West Virginia's Kevin Jones is probably the most likely candidate. After a standout season, Jones could even go as high as the first round.
After that, it's slim pickings. Pitt's Ashton Gibbs could be selected, but it's probably a bit of a long shot. He put together a strong junior season in 2010-11, but this year, struggled a bit and wasn't able to find his shot. For someone like Gibbs who needs to hit open jump shots to be any kind of a scoring threat, that doesn't bode well for his chances.
West Virginia's Truck Bryant also has an outside shot to be drafted, but could end up in the free agent pool as well. He averaged nearly 17 points a game this season, but has never been a particularly strong shooter. He never shot better than 40% from the field in his four seasons with the Mountaineers, and this year, hit only 35% of his attempts.
Pitt's Nasir Robinson and Penn State's Cammeron Woodyard are both eligible, but have virtually no shot at being taken.
