Aaron Donald and Jarred Holley continued the preseason watch list recognition for Pitt on Thursday.
Donald was named to the watch list for the Outland Trophy, given to the best interior lineman (offensive or defensive) in college football. Holley, meanwhile, was named to the list for Bronko Nagurski Award, presented to the best defensive player.
For Donald, it was the second time this week he was recognized for an award as he was named to the watch list for the Chuck Bednarik Award - another award given to the best defensive player in college football. While it's nice to see Holley getting some credit and getting on the Nagurski list, Donald's omission there is a little odd. He had a big sophomore year last season with 11 sacks and was one of the surprise defensive players in all of college football.
