Stay connected for news and updates

Linebacker Matt Galambos has committed to Pitt.

The University of Pittsburgh received another commitment from a recruit on Thursday when it was announced that linebacker Matt Galambos of Haverford, Pennsylvania has agreed to go to the school. This marks the 16th commitment from a player in the recruiting class of 2013 in addition to the third in this week.

According to Yahoo!'s Rivals.com, Galambos is rated as a two-star recruit and had received offers from other schools such as Harvard, Rutgers, Syracuse, Temple and Yale.

Standing at 6-foot-2, 223 pounds, Galambos played a hybrid of linebacker and tight-end while at The Haverford School (he is classified as an inside linebacker on most scouting databases).
