Sidney Crosby Injury: Penguins Center Collides With Chris Kunitz, Limps Off Ice

Penguins fans held their breath on Tuesday night as Sidney Crosby limped off the ice after a collision with Chris Kunitz.

The Pittsburgh Penguins entered Monday night's game looking to extend their winning streak to three games over the hottest team in the NHL, the Boston Bruins. Unfortunately, an ugly second period put them down 2-0, but the worst news of the night may have come in the 3rd period when Sidney Crosby appeared to injure his right leg.

The Penguins center violently collided with winger Chris Kunitz. Crosby limped off the ice after the collision in obvious pain. The good news is that it did not appear to be a head injury of any kind, as his right leg took the direct hit in the collision.

While it looked ominous at first as he limped off, Crosby did come back on the ice before the end of the period. The Penguins center returned to the ice just two weeks ago, after being out since last January with a concussion.
