The Trib notes that the New York Islanders have scheduled a viewing party for a replay of their February 11 game against the Penguins - the one that featured tons of fighting and Trevor Gillies taunting Eric Tangradi as he laid on the ice with a concussion.↵
"The Islanders have a good, young hockey team," [Ray] Shero said. "That's what we should talk about. Whatever they want to do off the ice ... If they want to revisit it, that's fine. That's not a game we want to revisit. We've put it behind us. We're not proud of it. It's time to move on."↵
This is disturbing, to put it mildly. That game was perhaps the most disgusting display I've ever seen on a hockey rink, and it contained pretty much everything that's wrong with the game. The Islanders should be ashamed of themselves. I guess they've decided this is the kind of team they want to be.
