Canadiens Vs. Penguins: Pens Try To Continue To 'Scare' Carey Price

The Pens look to increase their win streak to five Friday night.

The surging Pittsburgh Penguins aim to keep their winning streak alive with a home game against the Montreal Canadiens on Friday night at 7:00 PM (ROOT Sports).

After a six-game losing streak, Evgeni Malkin and Marc-Andre Fleury have led the Pens to wins over the Panthers, Lightning, Hurricanes and Rangers. Their recent winning streak has also seen the return of defenseman Kris Letang.

The Canadiens (17-21-8) don't have nearly so much wind in their sails -- they've lost four out of five, and have been shut out twice in that period, including in a recent 3-0 loss to the Washington Capitals. It doesn't sound like they're looking forward to facing the Penguins, either.

After the team’s practice, [goaltender Carey] Price mused on the reason he’s played some of his best games against the Penguins.

"Probably because they scare the daylights out of me," joked the Canadiens’ all-star netminder. "They’ve got a lot of high level talent and they always have, so whenever you roll into Pittsburgh you’re aware that you’re probably going to face over 30 shots and a few quality chances so you know you have to be ready."

Price beat the Penguins three times in 2010-2011, but is 0-1-1 against them this season.
