Pittsburgh has won five games in a row, righting the ship after a six game losing skid in late December and early January. The last team to defeat the Penguins, in fact, was the Capitals on January 11. Evgeni Malkin has been on fire during the current winning streak, tallying eight goals and two assists, and the Pittsburgh star has 10 goals over his last eight games.

Washington's offense continues to struggle. The Capitals have been shut out twice in the past three games, most recently falling 3-0 to the Carolina Hurricanes on Friday evening, a game in which they mustered just 23 shots on goal.
