Can the Penguins push their home winning streak to nine while spoiling the possible return of the Predators Alexander Radulov?

The Pittsburgh Penguins have won eight straight games at the CONSOL Energy Center. Winning their ninth-in-a-row could mean cooling off one of the best players in the world. Alexander Radulov, a two-time KHL MVP, could make his return for the Nashville Predators Thursday night after four years away from the team.

The Penguins are still riding a hot streak where they have won 12 of their last 13 games including the home winning streak. The last time that the Penguins won nine straight games at home was from Jan. 28-Feb. 22 of 1999.

Sidney Crosby had 4 assists in the team's 8-4 win over Winnipeg on Tuesday. In addition Evgeni Malkin scored two goals and three assists. Malkin increased his league-leading point total to 93 for the season, while breaking the 200 goal plateau for his career.

The Penguins have also not faced the Predators at all this season. The Penguins lost the last game played against Nashville 4-3 in overtime on Oct. 21, 2010.

The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start with television coverage on ROOT Sports.
