VIDEO: Sidney Crosby Takes A Puck To The Face

Stay connected for news and updates

Pittsburgh Penguins star Sidney Crosby came back from dealing with a concussion, but late in the third period of the Penguins matchup with the New York Islanders Crosby was hit in the face with a puck right after a face off, leaving a pool of blood in the ice.

As you can see, the pick ricocheted right into Crosby's face and he went down clutching his face under his mask as blood covered the ice. The extent of Crosby's injury is unknown, but "The Kid" has dealt with quite a bit this past two seasons and this isn't something he wanted to deal with, especially with concussion issues. Crosby stepped in front of the puck to block and attempt to clear and just took one right in the face. It's doubtful that shot will cause Crosby concussion problems, but you don't want to take blows to the head at all when you've been dealing with them.
