Penguins Vs. Flyers: Emotions Run High In First Period, Philadelphia Leads 3-2

The Philadelphia Flyers had no problem continuing their dominance over the Pittsburgh Penguins in the beginning of Game 3, as they hold a 3-2 lead after one period.

For the third straight game, the Penguins were able to get an early goal when Jordan Staal scored his first goal of the playoffs.

The Flyers then seized control of the game, when Max Talbot was able to squeak a rebound past Marc-Andre Fleury to tie the game. The Flyers then quickly added two more goals, both from Danny Briere.

The Penguins answered when James Neal scored his first goal of the playoffs at 15:37.

The Flyers answered yet again when just 23 seconds later Matt Read made it 4-2.

Emotions have run high, with the Pens showing frustration. Kris Letang and Kimmo Timonen being ejected for their fighting. Arron Asham was also ejected for a high cross check. A total of 72 penalty minutes were dished out in the first period. You can check out video of the antics HERE.
