This is not a total surprise that Suter and Parise landed on the Wild since the two have been talking about playing on the same team, and Suter said that it would be "really cool" if they landed on the same team.
Suter and Parise were the only two free agents that the Penguins were really interested in this off season, so if the they are going to make any moves it will likely be via trades.

The Pittsburgh Penguins are still chasing two of the biggest NHL free agents on the market this summer, Ryan Suter and Zach Parise. They are believed to be one of a handful of teams with offers out to both players. If the Penguins acquire Suter, a defenseman, they could deal Paul Martin to Nashville, according to a Tuesday-afternoon report from Josh Yohe of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
I've been told that if the Pens do acquire Ryan Suter, look for Paul Martin to be traded to Nashville.
Martin's name has been mentioned previously in trade rumors, though reports last week said the Penguins were not shopping him. The cost of signing Suter, should it happen, might give the team renewed motivation to deal Martin and his $5 million salary.
