It wasn't a very inspiring game for the three Pirates representatives. Andrew McCutchen got one at-bat and promptly grounded out. Joel Hanrahan recorded one out, a strikeout, but had two runners reach base after ugly displays of fielding by his defense. Kevin Correia didn't play at all.
It wasn't a great day for Pirates fans who happened to be watching the game, then, in other words. Not that it mattered much. Unless you consider the fact that if the Pirates go to the World Series, they'll get home-field advantage due to the National League's win. Thanks for the homer, Prince - we'll take care of the Yankees for you!
Well, maybe not. But the fact that the Pirates sent three All-Stars at all was pretty nice in itself. That's something.
