Pirates Vs. Brewers: Bucs Fall 1-0; Derrek Lee To 15-Day DL

Aug 13, 2011 - Pittsburgh wasted an outstanding pitching performance by Kevin Correia, losing 1-0 to the Milwaukee Brewers. The Pirates woes in Milwaukee continued as the team mustered only three hits in the game. The lone hits of the night came from Ryan Ludwick, Ronny Cedeno, and Xavier Paul.

The Brewers' only run came from shortstop Yuniesky Betancourt's solo home run in the second inning.

Before the game, the Pirates got more bad injury news as new acquisition Derrek Lee was placed on the 15-day disabled list. Lee was injured by a pitch from the Cubs' Carlos Marmol that broke a bone in his wrist about a week ago. Josh Harrison was recalled from AAA Indianapolis as a result.

The Pirates are now six games under .500 and will look to avoid a series sweep tomorrow. Charlie Morton will be on the bump for Pittsburgh and will battle Milwaukee's Shawn Marcum, who is 10-3 with a 3.62 ERA on the season.
