Arizona Fall League Rising Stars Game to feature Pirates' Vic Black

Pittsburgh Pirates prospect Victor Black was named to the Rising Stars Game on Wednesday afternoon.

Pittsburgh Pirates right-handed pitching prospect Victor Black was included in the Arizona Fall League's Rising Stars Game on Wednesday afternoon. Black has been placed on the Eastern Division roster and will participate in Saturday's event, which will feature some of the top prospects in all of professional baseball.

Joining Black on the East team is Houston Astros pitching prospect Jarred Cosart, Astros infielder Jonathan Singleton, No. 10 overall prospect Nick Castellanos of the Detroit Tigers, Anthony Rendon on the Washington Nationals and Kaleb Cowart of the Los Angeles Angels.

Cosart was announced as the East starter and will be appearing on the roster for the third time. He will face-off against Minnesota Twins pitching prospect Kyle Gibson.

Other notable members on the West include Seattle Mariners catching prospect Mike Zunino and Mariners infield prospect Nick Franklin, whom was named the MVP of last year's game after collecting four hits in five at bats including a homerun, two doubles and four RBI.
