Pirates Vs. Reds Final Score: Pittsburgh's Late Rally Falls Short, Go Down 5-4

Stay connected for news and updates

The Pittsburgh Pirates fell in an early hole to the Cincinnati Reds when the Bucs gave up four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to go down 5-0. The Pirates weren't done however and battled back. It took until the eighth inning, but the PIrates finally got on the board with a Neil Walker RBI single.

The Pirates then went on a rally adding three more runs after the Walker RBI, as Andrew McCutchen blasted a three-run home run to center field to bring the Pirates within a run. The rally ended when Jose Tabata grounded out however and the Pirates couldn't get anymore runs to tie the game, going down to the Reds 5-4. The Pirates can still win the series with a victory on Thursday, however.
