Pirates Vs. Rockies Score Update: Andrew McCutchen Launches 442-Foot Homer

Stay connected for news and updates

The Pittsburgh Pirates are trying to even their series in Denver on Tuesday night with Erik Bedard on the mound. After Bedard gave up an unearned run in the bottom of the third, Andrew McCutchen came back in the top of the fourth at Coors Field to tie it up 1-1 in emphatic fashion. McCutchen absolutely hammered a Christian Friedrich offering down the left field line. It traveled 442 feet and landed well up the left field bleachers. A picture of where it fell from @RootSportsPit:

Friedrich has allowed just three hits through so far, but McCutchen's bomb was one of the longer homers you'll see this season.

The Rox would came back in the bottom of the inning to re-take the lead on a Josh Rutledge tripled that scored Wilin Rosario.
