This has been a very good week for Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Andrew McCutchen. In Kansas City for his second All-Star appearance, McCutchen was also named the National League Player of the Week on Monday. The team announced the news via Twitter.

From July 2-8, McCutchen hit .517/.548/.931 with three home runs and nine RBI. For the season, McCutchen leads the National League with a .362 batting average.
