The Steelers have signed punter Jeremy Kapinos to replace Daniel Sepulveda, who tore his ACL in Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens. Kapinos, 26, played in one game for the Indianapolis Colts this year, and has also played for the Green Bay Packers and New York Jets. He has an average of 42.9 yards per punt for his career, with a net average of 37 yards, a yard or two behind Sepulveda in both categories. Sepulveda will have surgery on his knee on Friday. Hopefully this move will have minimal impact for the rest of the season.
Kapinos beat out former 49er Ricky Schmitt for the job.

Contrary to what Mike Prisuta may think...
…the name is pronounced CAP-i-nos (long o at the end), and not Kuh-PEEN-os.
Good pick up for the Steelers. Kapinos is used to the cold weather punting of Green Bay.
