Patriots Vs. Steelers Injury Report: Hines Ward Misses Practice With Ankle Injury

The Pittsburgh Steelers are getting ready for a premiere NFL match up in Week 8 hosting the New England Patriots. The Steelers do have some key injuries to look out for however, as linebacker James Harrison is still out with his eye injury. Veteran wide receiver Hines Ward also sat out practice today with an ankle injury, but Ward typically gets a veteran day off on Wednesdays.

Nose tackle Chris Hoke and offensive lineman Doug Legursky missed practice nursing a toe injury, as did linebacker Jason Worilds with a quad injury. Nose tackle Casey Hampton has missed the past three weeks, but is expected to be available against the Patriots.

On the Patriots side, the only player to completely miss practice was linebacker Dane Fletcher with a thumb injury. Six other players were limited in some capacity, including Albert Haynesworth (back), Sebastian Vollmer (back), Josh Barrett (thumb), Leigh Bodden (thumb), Ras-I Dowling (hip), Jerod Mayo (knee), and BenJarvus Green-Ellis (toe).
