Steelers safety Troy Polamalu was forced to leave the Steelers' game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday after he hit his head against an opponent's knee, but that shouldn't stop him from playing against the Cincinnati Bengals Sunday afternoon, Coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday.
"All things are positive," Tomlin said of Polamalu, who must still pass concussion tests later in the week in order to play.
At this point, it looks safe to pencil Polamalu in against the Bengals. If he doesn't play, it will be a surprise.
In other Steelers injury news, LaMarr Woodley (hamstring) might be able to play. Chris Carter and Larry Foote also have hamstring injuries, but Carter's is more serious. Carter is listed as questionable.
Center Maurkice Pouncey, meanwhile, missed time in the Chiefs game due to a stomach virus. He lost weight and might have trouble participating in practice in the early part of the week, but it sounds like Tomlin expects him to play on Sunday.
