Ravens Vs. Steelers Game Recap: Joe Flacco TD With Eight Seconds Left Wins Game For Baltimore

A beautiful touchdown pass by Joe Flacco to rookie WR Torrey Smith with eight seconds left sealed the Steelers fate, as the Ravens marched 92 yards on their final possession to reclaim the lead and get out of Pittsburgh with a 23-20 win.

The Steelers began the fourth quarter down 16-13, but were able to put a touchdown on the board with a short run by RB Rashard Mendenhall to gain the lead for the first time, 20-16. But with just a few minutes left the Steelers suffered a crucial delay of game penalty that turned a would-have-been 47-yard field goal into a must-punt situation.

The punt pinned the Ravens back to the 8 yard line, but the Ravens methodically picked their way down the field on their way to the game winning score.

Ben Roethlisberger threw for a healthy 365 yards after struggling initially, but the interception and mental mistakes helped to keep the Ravens alive despite outgaining them by over 100 yards. Flacco finished with over 300 yards as well, with the lone touchdown coming on the last pass to Smith. He did not throw an interception.

With the win the Ravens move to 6-2 while the Steelers fall to 6-3. For more coverage of Steelers football, keep your browser locked on SB Nation Pittsburgh.
