The Pittsburgh Steelers will meet the 49ers in San Francisco, looking to solidify their playoff position. The big question will be, is Ben Roethlisberger playing?
The San Francisco 49ers have already secured a playoff spot and the Pittsburgh Steelers may be dealing with a banged up Ben Roethlisberger, who's status for the game is till up in the air. With both teams having already clinched playoff berths, seeding is now on the line. The 49ers can try to seal up a first round bye and home field for their first playoff game in years. San Francisco has lost two of their last three games, including an upset by the Arizona Cardinals last week. Quarterback Alex Smith struggled against the Cardinals, so he'll look to rebound against a tough Steelers defense.
The Steelers have won four straight games, but may be without Roethlisberger who is dealing with an ankle injury. With how some games worked out on Sunday, the Steelers clinched at least a Wild Card berth. The Steelers still have a chance to win the AFC North, but they will need to keep winning and hope for some Baltimore Ravens losses. If Roethlisberger can't go on Monday Night, back up quarterback Charlie Batch will get the start for the Steelers.
