James Harrison Speaks About His Suspension

Stay connected for news and updates

Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison served his one-game suspension for his helmet to helmet hit on Cleveland Browns quarterback Colt McCoy. Harrison missed the Monday Night Football match up against the San Francisco 49ers, a game the Steelers lost. After practice Wednesday, Harrison talked about the suspension and his comments were relayed via Twitter by Mark Kaboly of Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

When it came down to it, my helmet hit his. Oh well. It didn't get overturned. Almost only counts in horse shoes and hand grenades. I don't know why they let him back in, what, 2 plays later? Something should be done to them. I got a game, what should they get?

Harrison's last comment was a bit of a quip, Harrison does have a point about the Browns being punished for allowing McCoy to re-enter the football game. With Harrison's suspension however, he'll need to make an effort to avoid helmet to helmet hits, as the next one could also come with a suspension.
