Rob Rang's latest 2012 NFL Mock Draft for CBSSports.com features Andrew Luck at the top, as usual. Further down, Devon Still of Penn State goes to the Carolina Panthers at No. 10, which is the highest I've ever seen him go.
Like the Rams and Vikings picking ahead of them, the Panthers would appear to be in prime position to take advantage of team's needing quarterbacks to trade down, fill a need, and acquire more picks. Fielding one of the league's most porous run defenses, the Panthers would be wise to consider Still, whose play this season has vaulted him to the top of the defensive tackle rankings.
Rang has the Steelers taking Ohio State offensive lineman Mike Adams. Adams might be considered a slight reach at the end of the first round at this point, but obviously, that's not overly important right now as far as the Steelers are concerned, since we're not even sure where they'll be drafting. We're still at the point where mock draft valuations of players beyond the top 10 are all over the map, as Still's case demonstrates -- he's usually down around the 20's. All we really know at this point is that the Steelers need offensive line help -- although Adams is a tackle, and what the Steelers really need right now are guards..
