From Peter King (and a hat tip to Mocking The Draft for spotting this before I did), it appears that some NFL team is actually concerned about drafting TCU quarterback Andy Dalton because of the color of his hair. And, to answer your next question, yes. Really.
At least one team is thinking not just about Dalton's brains but also about what's on top of them. "Has there ever been a red-headed quarterback in the NFL who's really done well?" a coach asked one reporter last week. "It sounds idiotic, but is there any way that could be a factor? We've wondered."
I'm not sure whether to praise that team for being thorough, or lambaste it for just being idiotic. Well, no, actually I'm pretty sure it's the latter. Either way, though, hair dye is cheap, and NFL contracts are worth millions. Maybe Dalton should consider dyeing it black before next Thursday?
