2011 NFL Draft: Picks: Through First 24 Picks Of First Round, Plenty Of Surprises

Looks like the Pittsburgh Steelers won’t be trading up in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft. When the Miami Dolphins selected Mike Pouncey with the 15th pick, any hope of a reunion of the Pouncey twins was eliminated. Nebraska corner Prince Amukamara was still available at No. 19, and a big part of me hoped the Steelers would pull the trigger to move up and draft the cornerback most people considered to be the second best corner in this year’s draft.

As it stands, it looks as if the Steelers will either select at No. 31 or trade out of the first round in an attempt to acquire additional picks in later rounds. While we wait to see what transpires, here’s the updated picks through No. 24.
