Steelers backup quarterback Charlie Batch has a new interview on 93.7 The Fan in which he discusses the futures of Hines Ward (who had a diminished role in the Steelers' offense this year) and offensive coordinator Bruce Arians (who many Steelers fans love to hate).
On whether Ward will come back to the Steelers next season:
I think they'll work something out, that he is coming back. It's hard because he wants to play, but it's hard to envision him somewhere else.
On Arians:
... [H]e's been able to break down the playbook to exactly what Ben [Roethlisberger] likes ... This offense is Ben's offense, and in 2007 [Arians' first season], Ben put up phenomenal numbers, and it was franchise records all over the place with what he was able to do, and that was how Ben now all of a sudden turns the corner and becomes one of the great quarterback.
