NFL Mock Draft 2012: Could Steelers Take Zebrie Sanders?

Yet another 2012 NFL mock draft has the Steelers taking an offensive tackle, and this time it's Zebrie Sanders from Florida State.

Last season the Steelers spent a high pick on current RT Marcus Gilbert. While Gilbert as played well for a rookie, the Steelers still need help in the trenches. Sanders might be a reach at this point, but with the importance that OT play in this game, and the lack of talent that the Steelers have on the O-line, Sanders is well worth the reach at this point.

The Steelers will not reach for a tackle. While they could certainly use another good one, they have at least a halfway-reasonable amount of talent at that position between Gilbert and Willie Colon. Where they don't have much talent -- at all -- is at guard. And they can use help at linebacker and nose tackle, too, so it's funny that the two players who follow Sanders in this particular mock (Memphis nose tackle Dontari Poe and Arizona State linebacker Vontaze Burfict) are guys the Steelers could pretty clearly use.
