As kickoff of the Steelers wildcard matchup with the Denver Broncos approaches, there is still speculation about the developments this week that quarterback Brady Quinn may be used on Sunday to spell starter Tim Tebow. Mike Florio lit the flame with his report that Quinn's practice reps were altered this week, while Denver outlets reported that nothing had changed and there were no special plans to involve Quinn, who has never played in a regular season game with Denver.
Jay Glazer added some clarity on Sunday, tweeting that the Broncos may use Quinn in third down passing situations.
Via @JayGlazer of Fox Sports:
Plan today for Denver is if tebow struggles w bad decisions they plan to use Brady Quinn at least on 3rd downs.
Quinn has not played since 2009 when he was with AFC North rival Cleveland. If reports are accurate, it may not be such a longshot to see him take the field Sunday against the league's number one ranked defense in a playoff game.
