Pittsburgh Steelers injuries: Maurkice Pouncey practices, Rashard Mendenhall does not

Charles LeClaire-US PRESSWIRE

Pittsburgh Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey was a full participant in practice on Wednesday, but running backs Rashard Mendenhall and Isaac Redman did not practice.

Pittsburgh Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey fully participated in practice on Wednesday, but other players, including running backs Rashard Mendenhall and Isaac Redman, were unable to participate.

Pouncey, who missed last week with a knee injury, was a full participant in practice for the first time since injuring his knee in the Steelers' 26-23 loss to the Tennessee Titans on Thursday, Oct. 11.

Not practicing for the Steelers were safety Troy Polamalu (calf), tackle Marcus Gilbert (ankle), Mendenhall (Achilles), Redman (ankle), linebacker Jason Worilds (illness) and running back Jonathan Dwyer (not injury related). Polamalu and Gilbert have already been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Washington Redskins. Mendenhall and Redman both missed the Steelers' 24-17 win over the Bengals in Week 7.

Kicker Shaun Suisham (ankle), linebacker Chris Carter (hamstring) and linebacker Adrian Robinson (concussion) were limited in practice on Wednesday. In addition to Pouncey, safety Will Allen (ankle) was listed on the injury report but fully participated in practice.
