Chiefs vs. Steelers: Game time, TV schedule, injury updates and more

Peter Aiken

The Pittsburgh Steelers are expected to notch a win against the 1-7 Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football, with the defense playing its most consistent ball of the season of late and the Chiefs allowing 30 points per game.

Two teams heading in different directions will square off Monday night, as the Pittsburgh Steelers, riding a two-game win streak, will face a Kansas City Chiefs squad that's only won a single game all year.

Things are starting to click for the Steelers after going .500 in their first six games: They demolished the Washington Redskins and then came back to beat the New York Giants. The defense is playing its best ball of the year, holding quarterbacks Robert Griffin III and Eli Manning to a combined 26-58 with one touchdown and one pick, and between Jonathan Dwyer and Isaac Redman, the team has had 100-yard rushers in each of the past three games despite some mediocre outings from Ben Roethlisberger.

For Kansas City, nothing has gone right since firing now-Steelers offensive coordinator Todd Haley as the team's coach. This year, the Chiefs are 1-7, having lost their last five straight and their last three by a combined 56 points. Neither Matt Cassel nor Brady Quinn seems to have what it takes to get it done with limited weapons on offense, and the 30.0 points the team allows per game is fourth-most in the league. Only two of their games -- a 27-24 win over the New Orleans Saints and a 9-6 loss against the Baltimore Ravens -- haven't been double-digit losses.

Antonio Brown, Rashard Mendenhall, and Troy Polamalu are all out for the Steelers and could be back next week to face Baltimore.

Here's the info on Monday night's game:
