NFL Mock Draft 2012: Will Steelers Look For Help At Tackle?

We know that the Steelers need some help along their offensive line, but until now we've heard them taking guards to help shore up their line. Their tackle position wasn't great last year, but they were experiencing some injuries so that position isn't technically their biggest area of need. But that's not what the guys over at Draft King think, as they have the Steelers taking Ohio State tackle Mike Adams in their latest Mock Draft.

One of the big winners from Senior Bowl week was Adams, who looked impressive, particularly with the other elite offensive tackle prospects (Kalil, Reiff, and Martin) not able to take part in the event since they left for the NFL with remaining NCAA eligibility. Pittsburgh has two huge needs in offensive tackle and cornerback, and Adams would be an immediate boost for a position that has been overlooked in recent years in Pittsburgh.

Adams doesn't seem particularly likely, given that the Steelers' main offensive-line problems are at guard. It's still possible that the Steelers could pick a tackle, but the fact that these mock drafters think the Steelers' needs are at tackle and cornerback makes us at SB Nation Pittsburgh disinclined to trust them.
