2012 NFL Draft: Pitt Football Pro Day Scheduled For March 16

Stay connected for news and updates

In getting ready for the 2012 NFL Draft and the next step in their football careers, a handful of Pitt football players will showcase their skills March 16 during the the Panthers' Pro Day. The showcase will come after the NFL's Draft Combine, which will be held Feb. 22-28 in Indianapolis.

The event, which is a bit more personal than the NFL Combine and is held on the campus of Pitt, is important for those players wanting to improve their draft stock (like outside linebacker Brandon Lindsey and offensive lineman Lucas Nix) or players trying to be selected (like cornerback Antwuan Reed or defensive tackle Chas Alecxih).

Currently, NFLDraftScout.com projects both Lindsey and Nix are to be fourth- or fifth-round selections. The other two players, Reed and Alecxih, are not expected to be selected.
