NFL Mock Draft 2012: Steelers Projected To Take Dont'a Hightower

The Pittsburgh Steelers have a few needs that have been hammered home again and again this offseason, and that is help along the offensive line, and some youthful depth at inside linebacker. There are other spots that could use upgrades for sure, but those are the big two. that must be why the people at Walter Football gave them Alabama linebacker Dont'a Hightower in their latest mock draft. But apparently it wasn't an easy decision for them.

It was a close call for me between Hightower and Dontari Poe, but the latter doesn't seem like someone Pittsburgh would pick in the first round because he's so raw. Hightower, on the other hand, seems like he was made to play for the Steelers.

Hightower is exactly the kind of player that could learn under than ultimately replace James Farrior in the middle, but I'm not sure that he will be around this late in the first round.
