2012 NFL Mock Draft: Mocking The Draft Releases Top 100

Mocking The Draft has its latest top 100 in time for the NFL Scouting Combine this week. This isn’t a mock draft, but a list of the 100 most talented players.

The Steelers consider a variety of factors in the first round, and need is only one of those. But the positions where they have the most need are guard, inside linebacker and nose tackle.

There won’t be a ton of talent available at the positions where the Steelers have the most need, so there might be the possibility of some sort of off-the-grid pick in the first round, with the Steelers hoping that someone like nose tackle Dontari Poe (No. 35) or (more likely) guard Kelechi Osemele (No. 43) falls to them in the second round. If inside linebacker Dont’a Hightower (No. 16) were to fall to them at No. 24, that might be a reasonable best-case scenario.

Penn State defensive tackle Devon Still ranks No. 12.
