NFL Mock Draft 2012: Steelers Projected To Take Ohio St. Tackle Mike Adams

Stay connected for news and updates

We are just about halfway through the NFL Combine in Indianapolis, and the Mock Drafts around the Internet are already starting to reflect the changes in stock each player has earned this week. The guys over at SB Nation released a new 2012 NFL Mock Draft over the weekend, and it has the Steelers taking Ohio State offensive tackle Mike Adams with the No. 24 overall pick.

If the Steelers take anything other than an offensive linemen at this spot, that might anger Ben Roethlisberger more than the Rooneys supposedly running his offensive coordinator out of town. It's pick No. 24, and Mike Adams is still hanging around out there. If keeping Roethlisberger healthy for a full season is a priority, GM Kevin Colbert needs to gets some talent on the O-line.

Adams is certainly a good value here, and the Steelers do need some help on the offensive line, but Adams doesn't really represent the type of offensive lineman they really need. They have two good tackles already and I'm not sure that Adams can slide into the middle of the line. But if they are drafting him for the future, it might be a solid pick.
