NFL Mock Draft 2012: Steelers Projected To Take Nick Perry

The good folks over at Revenge of the Birds, SB Nation's Arizona Cardinals blog, have come out with a new 2012 NFL Mock Draft for upcoming Draft in April. They have the Steelers taking USC outside linebacker Nick Perry at No. 24, which I think is the first time I've seen him in this spot.

Nick Perry, OLB, USC. Most boards I've seen have Perry going between 9-15, I think he's a talent but I think he'll fall due to the needs of other teams, which is exactly what the Steelers will hope for. Perry is an incredible talent at OLB and will learn with the best pass rushers in the business.

Perry does have a lot of talent, but the Steelers already have a lot of money tied up in their current outside linebackers (James Harrison and LaMarr Woodley) so unless Perry can slide over and take some snaps as a middle linebacker, I'm not sure Perry fits their needs.
