Cotchery played in 13 games in 2011 and caught 16 passes for 237 yards and two touchdowns. Over his eight year career in the league, he has caught 374 passes for 4,751 yards and 20 touchdowns.
Cotchery is a veteran presence for the Steelers that the wide receiver core could use now that Hines Ward has retired. The Steelers could address the position in the NFL Draft picking some younger players that they could develop, and Cotchery could be like a mentor for them.
