2012 Steelers Offseason: Mike Wallace Prepared For A Holdout

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Mike Wallace is prepared for a holdout as the restricted free agent awaits a new long-term contract. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Monday afternoon that Wallace is not going to "sign anything until he has to," according to sources.

If Wallace does not sign the first-round tender Pittsburgh gave him as a restricted free agent, Wallace could miss offseason workouts as well as training camp and even beyond that. Earlier in the offseason, Wallace was said to be seeking a deal along the lines of what the Cardinals gave Larry Fitzgerald last August, something in the neighborhood of $120 million. He would get $2.7 million under the RFA tender.

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin sounded calm in his response to the report.

"We're not worried about the reports," Tomlin said on Monday.
