Pittsburgh Steelers Select DT Alameda Ta'Amu With 109th Overall Pick

Stay connected for news and updates

With the 109th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers have selected Alameda Ta’Amu, defensive tackle from the Washington Huskies. These NFL Draft 2012 results go against the projection for Norman, whom many scouts and evaluators feel was a second or third round selection.

Ta’Amu was a two-year starter for Washington also playing in nearly every game his sophomore season with the Huskies. He’s a powerful interior defensive lineman that caught the eye of NFL Scouts at the 2012 Senior Bowl, showcasing his athleticism. Most believe Ta’Amu will be a 3-4 nose tackle at the next level.

Pittsburgh's next pick is the 24th pick of the 5th round, number 159 overall.
