2012 NFL Draft Grades: Steelers Receive 'A' From Pete Prisco of CBS Sports

Mel KIper of ESPN and SB Nation have chimed in with their 2012 Draft Grades for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the high praise continues to roll in as Pete Prisco of CBS Sports has also jumped on board, giving the Steelers an "A" for their draft.

Prisco is especially high about the team's first round selection, Stanford guard David DeCastro while also feeling that they got a huge steal in Washington defensive tackle Ta'amu Alameda. Here are his complete thoughts on the draft.

Best pick: They had to race the pick up when Stanford guard David DeCastro fell to them in the first round. He will be a 10-year starter and is a perfect Steelers player.

Questionable move: Taking Ohio State tackle Mike Adams in the second round. He has character concerns, big ones, but the Steelers felt he was worth the risk. We'll see. He's a good player.

Third-day gem: There was some talk that fourth-round pick Ta'amu Alameda could be at least a second-round pick. The Steelers did a great job snagging him as a potential replacement for Casey Hampton in the fourth.

Analysis: Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert proved again over three days why he is one of the NFL's best. Look up and down the Steelers' draft board and you will see productive college players. There is some risk with Adams, but you almost have to trust Colbert on that one.

Grade: A

Of the draft grades that have been released, the Steelers have not received less than a "B", as many football experts feel the Steelers may have had one of the most productive drafts in the league.
