2012 NFL Draft Update: Revisiting The Steelers Pre-Draft Visits

Stay connected for news and updates

The Pittsburgh Steelers hosted 30 out-of-state prospects for pre-draft visits this year and SB Nation Behind the Steel Curtain contributor barnerburner decided to track how the Steelers' visitors fared in the draft.

It was a very exhaustive and extensive list of prospects, broken down by school, position, the round in which they were selected and which team ultimately drafted the players that Pittsburgh passed on.

Of the 30 prospects Pittsburgh hosted, the Steelers actually drafted four: Mike Adams (OL) from Ohio State, Kelvin Beachum (OL) from SMU, Toney Clemons (WR) from Colorado and David Paulson (TE) from Oregon.

Sports Illustrated gave the Steelers a draft grade of 'A-' for what they were able to do in the draft as it was widely considered the team selected players that not only fit their individual needs, but also the scheme in which they play.
