2012 Steelers Offseason: Mike Adams Likely To Start At Left Tackle

Between the NFL Draft and standard-issue aging and injuries, the Pittsburgh Steelers are making serious changes to their offensive line. Rookie David DeCastro was always assumed as a lock to start at right guard, but the other guard and both tackle positions have been up in the air all offseason. Things could change in training camp, but the Steelers' line is set for now. According to Ed Bouchette at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, rookie Mike Adams will start at left tackle going into camp.

This keeps second year tackle Marcus Gilbert on the right side of the line, while Willie Colon will move to left guard, as was previously reported here. The offensive tackle positions have been almost a revolving door for the Steelers in recent years. Max Starks started last year at left tackle, but is currently recovering from a knee injury that could cause him to miss the beginning of the 2012 season.
