Steelers Training Camp News: David DeCastro Tweaks Ankle

Stay connected for news and updates

The Pittsburgh Steelers received a bit of a scare during practice on Sunday, when offensive lineman David DeCastro tweaked his ankle. DeCastro, an offensive lineman, was the Steelers' first-round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft.

Luckily for the team, it is just a minor injury, and he should be ready to go for the next practice. Other injuries during Sunday's practice included Trai Essex also tweaking his ankle and Keenan Lewis spraining his shoulder. While Essex is not expected to miss any time, Lewis could be out for the next couple of days as he nurses the injury.

The Steelers will not practice on Monday, but they will return to the practice field at St. Vincent's in Latrobe on Tuesday for a full slate of drills.
