Head coach Mike Tomlin updated the status of Troy Polamalu and other players who have sustained injuries.

Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu has a minor injury in the form of a strained calf and is expected to be limited in practice this week. However, he is expected to start in Sunday's home opener against the New York Jets, according to head coach Mike Tomlin.

In addition, Tomlin stated that offensive tackle Marcus Gilbert (knee) and guard Ramon Foster (eye) are fine after having to leave prior to the start of the second half of Sunday's regular season opener against the Denver Broncos. Gilbert was seen limping around the practice field on Tuesday and was said to have hyperextended his knee. Foster was described as having a football related "optical migrane."

Both players are expected to be able to play on Sunday.

Linebacker James Harrison is expected to test out his knee during practice on Wednesday. Harrison is attempting to return from offseason knee surgery and was unable to play against Denver.
