Jones and Bryant combined for 42 points, and Jones also grabbed 14 rebounds. The Mountaineers also got 14 points from Deniz Kilicli (who went 4-of-5 from the floor) and 11 from Jabarie Hinds. Myles Mack (15 points) and Dane Miller (12) were the only Rutgers players in double digits.
The Mountaineers jumped out to a big lead early on, with Bryant’s three-pointer five minutes into the second half giving WVU a 17-6 lead. They didn’t slow down from there, and had a ridiculous 48-20 lead at the half. In the second half, the Scarlet Knights went on a 13-2 run (in which Mack scored 10 straight Rutgers points) to narrow the gap a bit, but WVU still had a comfortable lead throughout.
The Mountaineers have now beaten Rutgers twice, with margins of victory of over 20 points each time. WVU’s next game is against Marshall in Charleston on Wednesday.
