The Mountaineers aim to finish their season on a high note against Kansas.
The West Virginia Mountaineers will aim to close their season on a high note and improve their potential bowl placement opportunities with a season-ending victory over the Kansas Jayhawks in a Saturday afternoon Big 12 showdown.
The Mountaineers, which started the season with five consecutive victories, dropped five consecutive games before snapping the skid last Friday with a win against the Iowa State Cyclones. The victory, West Virginia's sixth of the season, made the Mountaineers bowl eligible for the 2012 season, but a seventh win might raise their profile for bowl selection committees.
Kansas, on the other hand, has gone winless since a victory over the FCS South Dakota State Jackrabbits to open their season, but has played a tough Big 12 and non-conference schedule, facing off against the likes of the Northern Illinois Huskies and Rice Owls in non-conference action.
Date and Time: Saturday, Dec. 1, 2:30 p.m. ET
Location: Mountaineer Field, Morgantown, W.V.
Odds: West Virginia is favored by 20 points at home by most sports books
