On the eve of the Big East basketball tournament, at least one Bracketologist foresees positive things ahead for the West Virginia Mountaineers.
On the eve of the Big East basketball tournament, at least one Bracketologist foresees positive things ahead for the West Virginia Mountaineers. Joe Lunardi at ESPN.com projects WVU as a tenth seed in the East Regional of the NCAA Tournament.
Lunardi has the Mountaineers matched up against the New Mexico Lobos, projected in Lunardi's bracket as an eighth seed. He has them playing in Greensborogh in the opening round of play.
WVU is also being projected as a 10th seed over at Blogging The Bracket.
Before bracket time rolls around, however, WVU has to get through the Big East tournament, which starts tomorrow in New York. As the eighth seed in the conference tournament, WVU does not play until Wednesday. They will take on the winner of the DePaul/Connecticut game at Noon.
