Former Mountaineer hoops star Devin Ebanks made his debut for the Los Angeles Lakers yesterday as they opened their pre-season with an exhibition against the Minnesota Timberwolves in London, England. Ebanks played 11 minutes, scoring five points on 2-for-3 shooting from the field, and adding two rebounds, an assist and two turnovers. Kevin Ding of the Orange County Register thinks Ebanks is a shoe-in to make the team, and that the preseason will be the time for him to adjust to the pro-game and show the Laker coaches what he's capable of. Ebanks seems to be adjusting to life as an NBA rookie fairly well.
