The Bengals and Browns lost close games against the Colts and Jets, respectively. That’s too bad, since bringing down the Colts and Jets could have had a potential positive impact on the Steelers’ playoff situation, but at least the losses widened and solidified the Steelers’ lead in the AFC North.
The Bengals had a legitimate shot against the Colts, particularly after Chad Ochocinco recovered an onside kick with a six-point deficit and two-and-a-half minutes left, but they fumbled the ball on their first play and ended up losing, 23-17.
The Browns, meanwhile, took the Jets to overtime, but never got much going offensively in the overtime period and lost when Mark Sanchez completed a 37-yard touchdown pass to Santonio Holmes with 24 seconds to play.
